About the Project
Gone Fishin' was a fantastic learning experience for me and my practice as a stop-motion animator. This was my first large scale attempt at puppet and set production as well as animating a puppet in a 3D space. It was incredible to watch my character design come to life with the tedious but rewarding process of puppet making. From a wire armature to final completion, Norah is everything I could've hoped. The set fabrication taught me the importance of detail and time management in the pre-production process! Bringing Norah to life was a learning curve at first but I've walked away with so many lessons for future projects.
